The most important trade fairs in the habitat sector in 2019

Every year new concepts and trends emerge within our field of business: intelligent materials, new developments in technology and ways to conserve energy, as well as fashion and interior design trends… Architecture never ceases to evolve and whenever possible, we attend every international fair where the latest innovations in both hotel and residential projects are presented year after year.

We are also often asked about the latest developments in architecture by our end clients, who are interested in finding out the calendar for the most important trade fairs in the habitat sector. Today we are sharing this information for those of you who would like to plan a getaway:

JANUARY

MAISON & OBJET: Paris (January 18-22, 2019 and September 6-10, 2019).

Every year, the French capital hosts two editions of this fair packed full of new trends and style. The most famous and lively one is the January edition, very busy and intense.

CASA DECOR: Madrid, 24 January – 16 March

For the second consecutive year Casa Decor is opening its doors at the beginning of the year. In this edition, in the heart of the Salamanca district, an entire building featuring more than fifty major national interior designers can be experienced and enjoyed. Every year, visitors are dazzled by the perfectly decorated rooms in their own unique styles. Lounges, dining rooms, libraries, conference rooms, hallways, any room in the home is decorated down to the finest detail.

FEBRUARY

ARCHITECT@WORK SPAIN : Bilbao, 20 – 21 February 2019

Architect@work is probably the leading national fair for architects, interior designers and other professional consultants. All exhibitors go through a rigorous selection process, with a panel of experts overseeing product selection. The aim of this strict process is to ensure that all the products presented are new innovations and the standard of quality the event provides makes it the most respected of its kind in Spain. During the month of February, thanks to this exhibition, Bilbao becomes the Spanish capital of architecture.

MARCH

ARCHITECT@WORK SPAIN: Barcelona, 13 & 14 March 2019

In March, Barcelona takes over in hosting this exhibition of the most outstanding innovations in the sector. Barcelona was the first to hold this international event and continues to do so year after year, amazing and updating professionals in the sector.

APRIL

SALONI DEL MOBILE: Milan, 9-14 April 2019

The International Furniture Fair (“Salone Internazionale del Mobile”) was founded in 1961 as a means of promoting furniture designed in Italy and to improve its export. This visionary event has been maintained to this day and is currently one of the most awaited and recognized in the sector.

MAY

ARCHITECT@WORK SPAIN: Madrid, 29 – 30 May 2019

Architect@work Madrid, the two-day event aimed at architects, interior designers and other professionals, will hold its second edition on 9 and 10 May in IFEMA, pavilion 12. More than 160 leading national and international suppliers will showcase their latest innovations in surface solutions, lighting technology, interior and exterior equipment.

3 DAYS OF DESIGN: Copenhagen (København), 23 – 25 May 2019

For 3 days, the beautiful Danish capital unveils unique designs from leading brands along with artisan craftsmanship which brings new concepts to the world of lifestyle, lighting and interior design.

AUGUST

FORMEX: Stockholm, 20-23 August 2019

This event, which was founded in 1960, celebrates two editions every year. One in January and, our personal favourite, one in August, as the trip and the weather are more pleasant.

Currently there are around 800 exhibitors from the interior design, fashion and accessories sector. There are usually around 20,000 visitors and 500 media at each event.

SEPTEMBER
